No. Only the username is displayed. When a potential buyer clicks on "Contact Seller", an email is sent by SoldByMoms.com so that your privacy is protected. It is at the seller’s discretion to respond to potential buyers and give out personal information such as email addresses. Please check our privacy statement.

How much does it cost to sell items on SoldByMoms.com?

Basic membership will always be free at SoldByMoms.com. Premium services may be available in the future.

How do I find an item (s) that I am looking for?

Please refer to "buying tips" under "help".

How do I list an item that I have for sale?

Please refer to "Selling Tips" under "Help".

Is soldbymom.com like eBay?

No, we are not about bidding. If you see an item you want to buy, simply contact the buyer to arrange for the purchase of the item.

How long does it take to post an item?

Ads become active immediately and only take a few moments to post.

How many items can I post?

You can have 5 "For Sale" or active postings. However, you can have an unlimited number of "On Hold" items.

What does "For Sale" and "On Hold" mean?

There are only 5 allowable active or "For Sale" ads at any one time. You may, however, have an unlimited number of "On Hold" items. As your "For Sale" items are sold you can pull from you "On Hold" list of items to maximize your 5 allowable active ads.

How long are postings active?

Postings are active for approximately 2 weeks. After such time, item status changes from "For Sale" to "On Hold". However, you go back and change the status back to "For Sale". This is done to ensure that items for sale on SoldByMoms.com do not become stagnant.

There is no category that seems to fit the item I have to sell?

Select "Miscellaneous" under the category that most closely fits your item. Please email us with your example as we continually strive to make SoldByMoms.com easier to use. We will change/create categories in response to your needs and feedback.

How do I edit an ad or change a price?

Use the following steps:

1. Click "Sign In" to sign in to your account
2. Go to sell stuff
3. Click on "Edit" and make necessary changes
4. Click "Save changes"

How do I mark an item as "sold"?

1. Click "Sign in" to sign in to your account
2. Go to "Sell Stuff"
3. Click "Edit" and change status to "Sold"
4. Click "Save changes"

Is SoldByMoms.com available in other areas or regions?

At this time, SoldByMoms.com is only available in the Durham region but we are planning to expand so look for us in other areas in the near future!

What if I arrange for a sale and the buyer does not show?

SoldByMoms.com does not facilitate the buying process. All sales are between the buyer and seller. Our hope is that each party will commit to the agreed terms. In this scenario, we suggest that you attempt to contact the seller again. If there has been no response to your follow-up email for a couple of days, then you may want to consider other offers and advise the initial buyer of your intent to do so.

Do buyers have to pick up items that I am selling at my home?

No. This is at the seller’s discretion. If you are not comfortable with this arrangement, you could arrange to meet in a public place or have someone at your home with you when the buyer arrives.

What if I need more information than is provided in the ad?

Simply email the seller by clicking on "Contact Seller" located at the bottom of the item posting and request any further details that you need.

Can I view all items that a particular seller has for sale?

This is a feature that will become available at SoldByMoms.com in the near future.

What if I have more than one potential buyer respond to my ad?

Please avoid highest bid scenarios and honour a "first come, first serve" policy. We want to make buying and selling easy and economical for everyone using SoldByMoms.com. If would be appropriate to respond to the other potential buyers to advise them that the item is sold pending pick up. Once the item is actually picked up and paid for, it is important to go back and edit the ad to indicate "Sold".

What method of payment is accepted?

SoldByMoms.com does not facilitate any transactions. Method of payment, exchange and terms are at the discretion of the seller.

How much should I charge for my item(s)?

We encourage you to set reasonable prices as this is likely to get your items sold the quickest. If you are not getting any interested buyers, consider lowering your price.

What if I forget my password?

Click on contact us to send an email us. We will send you your password within 24 hours.
